Interxion to manage IT platform of the Netherlands Olympic Committee and Sport Federation
Amsterdam - Interxion, the leading provider of premium carrier-neutral data centre and managed services in Europe, today announced that it will host the Netherlands Sportland Digital (NSD) platform on behalf of the Netherlands Olympic Committee and Sport Federation (NOC*NSF) in its Amsterdam data centre. The complete management and the backup of this complex platform will be provided by Interxion and its partner Dedigate.
The NSD platform of NOC*NSF is the largest IT platform that is used to support 29 sport organisations in the Netherlands. Since 2001, it has rapidly grown to be used today by 2,8 million members. The platform is highly automated and has managed 600.000 members’ transactions in 2005, and administered 1,9 million owners of the Netherlands Sport Pass in 2006.

Since then they provided us unparalleled levels of technical support and customer service“, said Henk Karman, program manager of NOC*NSF. “The decision to outsource the hosting of NSD platform to Interxion this time was taken after five months of rigorous evaluation, as they provided the best fit for our requirements now and into the future. As we expect the number of registered members to reach four million in 2007, it is important for us to know that Interxion has the resources and capabilities to scale the services accordingly.”
