IT-Data chooses Interxion turnkey backup and restore solution
Amsterdam, November 8, 2005…Interxion, the leading provider of carrier-neutral data centre and managed services in Europe, today announced that it has been selected to supply it’s managed online backup and restore solution, Secure Data Service, to IT-Data, a Ridderkerk, Netherlands, based backup and storage specialist. IT-Data will resell Secure Data Service to its existing and new customers.
IT-Data, established in 1999, is a specialised supplier of data availability services. As a knowledgeable and focused organization IT-Data implements and maintains turnkey solutions such as SAN storage, Back-up & Disaster Recovery, Data Archiving and Storage Management (HSM, SRM and Virtualisation) for open system architectures such as SAN and NAS.
IT-Data has chosen Interxion online backup and restore solution, Secure Data Service (SDS), to allow its customers create fast, successful backups with minimum human intervention and to ensure that their data is instantly available. SDS backups are carried out in real-time over the Internet to highly secure vaults installed in Interxion data centres. The 256-bit AES encryption ensures complete confidentiality of all transported data. Application of most advanced technologies such as delta blocking and common file elimination allow incremental backups to be completed in a short backup window whilst minimising bandwidth requirements.
