Interxion to provide Data Centre services to QualityHosting
Frankfurt, September 6, 2005 … Interxion, the leading provider of carrier-neutral data centre and managed services in Europe, today announced that QualityHosting, a Germany based provider of customised hosting and IT services, will deploy its customer solutions in Interxion data centre in Frankfurt. During last five years QualityHosting has been commended by Webhostlist.de, an independent hosting platform, for the quality and performance of its services and as a top 5% provider from the total of 500 companies.
Established in 1998, QualityHosting provides services to more than 3,000 business customers in 12 countries. “From the very beginning we did not compromise on quality of services be that development and implementation or choosing our strategic partners”, said Christian Heit, Managing Director of QualityHosting AG. “That was the reason we have chosen to partner with Interxion. We took into account various factors such as their very high level of security standards and redundant data centre infrastructure. In addition, our customers can get direct access to a large number of high quality networks.”
Interxion data centres are equipped with redundant power supplies and cooling infrastructure that guarantee uninterrupted customers’ equipment operation in case of power outage. Beside redundancy standards QualityHosting carefully looked at the physical security procedures and practices that are used in Interxion’s data centres. All entries are controlled by mantraps and monitored 24/7 by video cameras. The access is strictly personal requiring authentication by means of physical ID and biometric control systems. “Only authorised QualityHosting personnel and in exceptional cases our customers can get access to the equipment installed in our dedicated data centre area,” concludes Christian Heit.
“We are very happy that QualityHosting joins the community of more than 700 satisfied customers of Interxion including telecom and mobile operators, Internet Service Providers and enterprises that require highest quality and reliability of services,” said Anthony Foy, Group Managing Director, Interxion.
