PacketExchange extends European network coverage by connecting to Interxion Data Centers

Interxion, Europe’s largest and leading provider of carrier-neutral data centers and managed services has announced that leading independent network specialist, PacketExchange will connect to Interxion’s data centers in Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Paris, Vienna and Zurich..

The relationship will enable Interxion’s Internet community of nearly 700 customers including ISPs, content providers, large corporates, Government Agencies, banking, financial, legal firms and SMEs, to connect directly to the PacketExchange network and benefit from PacketExchange’s suite of services which include the ProXimityTM wide area peering solution, the DireXionTM private line service, which can be used for the delivery of corporate VPNs, and IP Transit for cost-efficient, performance guaranteed, high- speed internet access through multiple global Tier 1 backbones . The move will extend Interxion’s European network coverage and also enable further network expansion planned for Zurich and Vienna.

Interxion’s customers at its secure data centres will achieve a superior and stable connection through PacketExchange services are offered with service level guarantees of 100% network availability, less than 20ms pan-European and 50ms transatlantic average network latency and less than 0.1 per cent packet loss.
