Europe’s largest Data Centre provider selects Top Layer and Orthus to provide Intrusion Prevention to enterprises
Interxion, one of Europe’s leading providers of carrier neutral data centers and managed services, selected Top Layer's Attack Mitigator IPS solution as part of a managed IT security service for its e-commerce and financial services customers. With independent security consultants Orthus providing service and support around the solution, Interxion becomes the first data centre in the UK to offer a fully managed Intrusion Prevention solution to enterprises. Interxion’s enterprise customers will benefit from enhanced and more accurate detection and blocking of a wide range of network intrusions, including damaging DDoS attacks and HTTP worms.
As enterprises look to evolve their security infrastructure from passive Intrusion Detection to pro-active Intrusion Prevention solutions to protect mission critical systems and resources, in providing the UK’s first fully managed Intrusion Prevention service, Interxion can claim significant competitive advantage over other data centre providers. With Top Layer’s Attack Mitigator IPS deployed in Interxion’s data centre in London, Interxion’s customers can select Intrusion Prevention as a stand-alone security service, or choose to bundle it with a range of fully managed security services provided by Orthus.
