Interxion Netherlands to provide Casema

Amsterdam, 9 October 2001, - Interxion Netherlands today announced that it will supply Casema with colocation and internet infrastructure services. Interxion will provide Casema Datacommunication with safe and flexible equipment housing. With this agreement Interxion and Casema also meet with the requirements of third parties to connect to Interxion's Internet Exchange Centerâ„¢ (IEC) in Amsterdam. Alternately, users of Interxion's IEC can benefit from the important role Casema is playing in the development of new interactive internet- and network transport services. Financial details will not be disclosed.

Interxion is one of the largest providers of carrier neutral IECs and operates sites in 14 large European cities. "Casema is an important party in the telecommunications sector, particularly because they provide the so-called 'last mile', the connection to the end users at home or in business. We are not only supplying services to Casema, but the presence of Casema in our IEC in Amsterdam is similarly important for the other users of the IEC wishing to develop new internet activities such as streaming media applications and interactive TV," said Henk Meijer, Managing Director of Interxion Nederland.

"Casema has selected Interxion to meet the requirements of its wholesale customers to connect to the IEC of Interxion. Interxion is carrier neutral, provides high quality services and as a reliable supplier ensures continuity. Moreover, Interxion's site is strategically located near the Casema infrastructure. The diversity of Interxion's client portfolio, the 'installed base', is extremely relevant to us. ISPs, Telcos and carriers in the IEC are becoming accessible to us and vice versa", according to Rob Schaafsma, Manager Sales of Casema Datacommunication.
